Our challenge

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Mainframe Developer to join our Development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Strong on COBOL, DB2, Good to have knowledge of Python, SQL Server Development.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Alpharetta, GA is $100k - $110/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and other mainframe technologies.
  • Good to have knowledge of Python & SQL Server
  • Analyze and understand business requirements to design effective technical solutions.
  • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of mainframe applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mainframe applications with other systems.
  • Provide support and maintenance for existing mainframe applications.

Requirements:

You are:

  • Strong proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
  • Experience with mainframe development tools and environments.
  • Good understanding of mainframe architecture and operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with mainframe modernization projects.
  • Knowledge of other programming languages and technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
