What we are looking for:

Amsive is looking for a Sr. Manager of Data Strategy and Insights to join our growing Media Strategy team. In this role, you'll be focused on driving profitable growth for large e-commerce and digital media-focused clients by helping to extract more insights and performance from their data. You'll do this by finding key opportunities such as product trends, customer lifetime value segments, and competitive white space, and creating strategies to turn those insights into new or improved marketing activities.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be equally at home in major ad platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, DSPs, etc, and data platforms such as Google Analytics 4, BigCommerce, and Salesforce. We're looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills who can lead and drive a client conversation that is data-driven with insights.

What you will be doing:

  • Conduct deep dives into ad accounts, e-commerce, analytics platforms, and CRMs to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • Work with the client and Amsive team to turn trends and insights into actionable changes to the client's advertising, promotions, messaging, product mix, and website flow.
  • Work with the client and Amsive team to ensure that Amsive's dashboards and regular reporting elevate data and insights that will allow the client to make intelligent business decisions
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure that the sales data in various platforms (Google, Meta, DSPs, E-commerce Engine, Analytics, CMS, etc) align with each other.
  • Liaise with Amsive's digital media implementation team to ensure that they are focusing on platforms, products, and audiences that have the highest potential for profitable growth.
  • Identify audiences for targeting or suppression, working cross-functionally to employ these audiences and build lookalikes.
  • Provide direction to our data visualization team to build and evolve reporting services and client dashboards, ability to troubleshoot and implement as needed
  • Be the face of Amsive to the client, interacting with them in both formal and informal settings.

Who you are:

  • Strong client-facing experience at a digital media or performance marketing agency or similar environment
  • Deep knowledge of digital media platforms, e-commerce platforms, and website metrics (Adobe Analytics, Rockerbox, GA4)
  • Extensive background in how digital media is purchased and run (Google, Meta, TTD, etc.)
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams to define requirements for building data models and analytics for digital marketing by defining all the relevant KPIs and data sources, finding the best path for piping all relevant data into a database, and defining business rules for output in visualizations and advanced analysis
  • Deep knowledge of e-commerce strategies and tactics
  • Proficiency or familiarity with statistical concepts
  • Ability to break down and understand complex business problems, define a solution, and implement it.
  • Familiarity with creating and implementing data taxonomy governance best practices across multiple ad platforms
  • Excellent and frequent oral and written communication skills, especially around analytical concepts and methods; comfort with interacting directly with C-Suite clients
  • Great work ethic and intellectual curiosity
  • Must be a team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills and have experience working with customers across all levels
  • Ability to travel 1-2 times per month to Chicago or NY.

  • Superior ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way
  • Comfortable presenting findings to C-Suite clients and joining in-depth discussions
  • Superior Ability to create data visualizations to communicate complex data in the most effective way
  • In-depth knowledge of digital ad platforms and the most effective optimization techniques
  • Deep knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (familiarity with Adobe Analytics and/or Rockerbox is helpful)
  • Proficient in all major analysis techniques
  • An Ability to find insights that will move the needle
  • Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds
  • Excellent attention to detail
