The Sr. Manager Distribution Operations is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction and oversight for our JOM distribution center in Somerset, NJ. This facility is owned and operated by Johnson & Johnson and is critical to our growing US Pharmaceutical business enabling clinical distribution, trade distribution and exports to over 90 countries worldwide. This position directs a team of 45+ employees at the site and will cultivate a strong patient-first culture. The Sr. Manager Distribution Operations position understands and models credo behaviors and Johnson & Johnson Global Standards of Leadership. The Sr. Manager Distribution Operations also demonstrates a total understanding of Pharmaceutical Distribution Operations including: GMP's, regulatory requirements, training, equipment, transportation, and facilities.Key Responsibilities:Prioritizes projects to ensure Distribution business plans are met. Ensures that projects are in alignment with GPSG plans/goals and the goals of the pharmaceutical operating companies.Thinks analytically and acts decisively, builds consensus, and impacts outcomes.Forms and participates on cross-functional teams that encompass various departments and multi-level members. Coaches the group to identify and meet Distribution Goals.Act as project manager for highly technical large-scale projects that are designated to functional and cross-functional teams (ie. Building additions, equipment changes). Develop data, project plans and present to upper management for approval.Lead and coach operational excellence throughout the distribution process and colloborate across and within broader teams (ie customer service).Foster and cultivate an exceptional patient-first and quality culture that is instilled in our teams. Provide direction and coaching to project teams within Distribution and JOM. Remove barriers, set goals and priorities.Develop and implement large Capital projects that impact systems, equipment and facilities. Identify and explore emerging trends and innovative growth opportunities to enhance Distribution competitiveness. Prepare business cases to justify new services.Lead safety initiatives to ensure all Federal, State and J&J Safety regulations and/or guidelines are followed. Act as Process Champions for the Safety Management Action Plan (MAP) by identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions through new project initiatives or cross- functional teams.Assist, eliminate barriers and provide coaching for the Distribution leaders to meet their goals and objectives.Ensure the development of Managers and Supervisors through clearly communicated performance objectives, business process training, career development planning, team development training and consistent feedback. Set and meet the Distribution budget and headcount forecast.Develop facilities maintenance plans support JOM.Contact with Corporate real estate to investigate and pursue new and/or existing building lease agreements. QualificationsEducation:Minimum Bachelor's Degree and or equivalent degree required; MBA preferred Experience and Skills:Required: A minimum 10 years of relevant work experience Knowledge of Distribution operations, systems, equipment, GMP's, Governmental Regulations, and Facilities. Experience leading development of strategic vision for Distribution i.e., systems, equipment, utilization of space and delivery of services to the customer. Experience using of PE tools for all business processes. Ability to negotiate for shared business results. Preferred:Distribution experience in a pharmaceutical or clinical environment Prior people leadership experience; leading a large team of 40+ employeesOther:Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, domestic and international This role will require a minimum 4 days a week on location The anticipated base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550. The base salary range listed is based on a US pay scale and may be adjusted based on the successful candidate's geographic location.The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year.
