This role will lead and champion the development of our customer facing digital solutions for Loyalty and eCommerce. This role leads the software development teams as they create, deliver, and maintain software solutions for the company. This leader also serves as the subject matter expert and leader for the applications and technologies managed and utilized by the Retail Systems teams.

Ensures the quality of all SDLC, project interim, and final deliverables associated with achieving new applications & business capabilities in the digital eCommerce and loyalty space. Drives mitigation of risks /issues to successfully meet schedule, budget, scope, and quality of project / work

Manages a team of Engineering associates to include goal setting, coaching, development plans, performance management, and rewards/recognition. Manages the day-to-day supervision, performance and quality of the output by contracted labor in the eCommerce and digital loyalty space.

Performs assessments of all new application requests to include: leading solution concepting, software selection, informs business case creation and leads development resourcing planning

Manages the operational health of a Portfolio of business applications to include stability, availability, performance, data integrity, business continuity and security. Works with vendors in maintaining application capability and in defining, building, and maintaining 35-year application technology roadmaps

Previous experience building or maintaining Retail technology or unified commerce systems
Working knowledge building and deploying customer facing Azure applications
Working knowledge building Customer Identity Access Management solutions
Working knowledge of Jira/ADO, CI/CD tooling and general DevOps experience
Strong working experience developing and implementing APIs ideally on .Net and Azure platforms
Strong working knowledge developing and implementing .NET applications using MVC, MVP or MVVM design patterns
Strong working knowledge of frontend development languages such as Xmal, React, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
Exhibits a deep understanding of modern technology stacks and agile delivery models with a demonstrated focus on customer facing retail applications
Working knowledge building applications utilizing backend languages such as C# and JavaScript
Strong experience using Integrated Development tools such as Visual Studio, Cloud9 or Xamarin
Mobile application technology experience; understanding platforms such as Xamarin or .NET Maui
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA engineers, Product Managers and Cybersecurity teams
Experience as a hands-on technologist and engineer with the ability to execute strategy.
Ability to manage multiple projects, multi-task and meet deadlines
Ability to lead change and be a change agent
Previous experience building, mentoring and leading high performing engineering teams
