Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our International Sales & Operations team as the Sr. Manager of International New Market Development. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and expanding into new markets globally, in the vitamin, mineral, and supplement industry. This role will drive proactive outbound efforts to establish a strong presence in emerging regions and cultivate strategic partnerships that fuel long-term growth.
Essential Functions- Lead and execute business development strategies specifically targeting green-field opportunities in untapped international geographies, driving growth in previously un-developed markets.
- Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and feasibility studies to identify and evaluate new markets with high growth potential for vitamins and supplements.
- Develop and implement robust outbound strategies, including lead generation and outreach, to identify potential distributors and partners in new, uncharted territories.
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, distributors, and partners in new and previously unexplored markets, working to establish the company's footprint from the ground up.
- Create comprehensive market entry and expansion plans for green-field projects, accounting for regulatory requirements, cultural nuances, and evolving market trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, regulatory, etc.) to ensure product offerings, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans are optimized for brand-new markets with no prior business activity.
- Drive negotiations for strategic partnerships and distribution agreements that will accelerate entry into previously undeveloped regions, securing a foothold in emerging markets.
- Analyze financial metrics, market trends, and performance data to continuously refine business development strategies and identify new green-field growth opportunities.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging markets, and competitive landscapes to proactively identify fresh business opportunities in the global vitamins and supplements (VMS) sector.
- Work closely with executive leadership to ensure international business development initiatives targeting new and untapped markets align with overall corporate objectives.
Job Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in business, International Relations, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 5-7 years of global business development and/or outbound sales experience, with a focus on new market entry, ideally in the Vitamin, Mineral, and Supplement (VMS) industry.
- Proven success in driving international business development through outbound prospecting, new market penetration, and strategic partnerships.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and cultural considerations in the global health and wellness sector.
- Experience managing complex negotiations with global distributors and partners.
- Exceptional skills in outbound lead generation, relationship-building, and closing high-value partnerships.
- Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to create and execute outbound business development plans.
- Proven leadership and management experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in financial analysis, forecasting, and business performance evaluation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to travel internationally on a regular basis.
- Business language fluency or working ability in a second language - French, Danish, Arabic, Romanian, Korean, or Japanese, is strongly preferred.
