Our facilities are in North Carolina, Tennessee, Arizona, Rhode Island, Spain, and China, with distribution centers in France, Canada, and Arizona. The role is located in Charlotte, NC.

The Sr. Payroll Manager will oversee payroll functions for Hayward's North American locations. Reporting to the Vice President, Total Rewards, this role ensures accurate payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct weekly and biweekly payroll processing in Workday for US and Canada locations.
  • Troubleshoot errors and perform audits after payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and make legally required deductions.
  • Develop payroll schedules and communicate updates to HR.
  • Create payroll reports for management and assist in general ledger reconciliation.
  • Maintain compliance with payroll-related laws and regulations.
  • Partner with HRIS to manage Workday system changes related to payroll.
  • Train and update Payroll Specialists on payroll procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of Workday payroll experience OR 10 years of payroll management experience.
  • Extensive Workday payroll and report generation experience required.
  • Canadian payroll experience preferred.
  • 2-5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax laws, unemployment regulations, and wage-hour laws.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
