A consumer products company located on Long Island is actively seeking an experienced professional to join their staff as their new Senior Manager - Payroll Shared Services. In this role, the Senior Manager - Payroll Shared Services manages the activities of the payroll function via in-house payroll system and timely and accurate payment of payroll to employees. Responsibilities The Senior Manager - Payroll Shared Services:
- Reviews existing processes for efficiency and streamlines them where necessary
- Ensures compliance with tax withholding, unemployment, pay statements, wage & hour, garnishments, workers compensation (etc.) at Federal, State, and Local levels
- Oversees SOX Workflows and Sox Audits
- Oversees earnings/deductions base table setup including taxation and inclusion/exclusion in various programs and systems as needed
- Manages tax audits as needed
- Creates and manages detailed year-end project plan
- Reviews periodic tax updates for relevance, accuracy, and timeliness
- Serves as a liaison to third party payroll provider
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of related experience
- Proficiency with computer platforms and applications
- Ability to multitask
