Position: Sr. Manager, Strategic Capital ProjectsDirect Reports: Individual contributorReports To: VP Global Process EngineeringSalary Range: $120k to $140kBonus: 15%Relocation: YesJob Responsibilities: The Senior Manager for Strategic Capital Projects will lead all Strategic Capital projects across the US, Asia, and Europe. Must have a strong background in project management, particularly in overseeing complex projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will lead and manage the complete lifecycle of strategic capital projects ensuring that planned results are achieved on time and within budget.Oversee all phases of projects, from approval and planning to execution and closeout, ensuring that objectives are met.Develop and monitor project budgets and timelines, tracking progress and achievements to ensure alignment with project goals.Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including regulators, specialist contractors, and engineering design firms.Interface with internal customers to establish specifications, deliverables, and milestones for successful project execution.Define and track technical goals and milestones, ensuring accountability across project teams.Represent the project to customers and internal management, presenting project results and status updates.Utilize formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes effectively.Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project plans, action item registers, and major milestone timelines for all assigned projects.Ensure all assigned projects are delivered on time, within budget, and maintain overall project ownership, acting as the primary contact for project status.Address challenges through effective risk management and contingency planning, presenting solutions and options to executive management.Coordinate and ensure the effective implementation of solutions and changes throughout the project lifecycle.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or closely related degree required.Master's degree and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a major plus.Minimum 5 years' experience managing capital project lifespan required.Strong analytical skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.A willingness to travel domestically and globally up to 20% of your working time.Possesses well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.Addresses inquiries and resolves problems by using appropriate resources/other departments to achieve results/answers.Ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment. High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality. Well-organized and detail oriented. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
