We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Visual Merchandising (Beauty) for a top beauty company in New York City. The Sr. Manager, Visual Merchandising is responsible for executing the brand strategy in brick-and-mortar environments, while enhancing the customer experience for the US market for two luxury beauty brands. The candidate for this role will lead and execute all phases of customer experience design, including aligning global strategy for the US market, planning, design briefs, concept design, budget management, stakeholder communication with HQ teams, vendor management, production, and pattern with sales on field execution. They will work as a representative between global brand holder teams and US marketing, sales and store design cross-functional partners to drive the in-store experience, contribute to the growth of commercial brands, and ensure the US regional priorities are met on-time and on-budget.
Responsibilities:
- Apply and adapt global Visual Merchandising concept guidelines to the US marke
- Liaise with the Central Visual Merchandising Design team in Miami and NY Marketing Team coordinating both internal and external project validation
- Build and maintain retailer relationships for approvals on new merchandising elements and events
- Develop and present merchandising guidelines for new launches, including hosting webinars for internal teams and retailers
- Design and manage Fragrances Visual Weeks and Beauty Events execution for all retailers
- Create 3D renderings and design development drawings for vendor bidding
- Review mechanical/engineering drawings and pre-production prototypes to ensure alignment with design intent
- Create all print ready mechanicals related to production of various printed materials
- Create 3D planograms to support retail display strategies
- Work closely with the store design team on new store openings and lead in-store merchandising efforts
- This position reports into the Director, US Visual Merchandising
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to ideate, present, develop, and execute projects from start to finish
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Liaise with all key cross-functional partners to track project milestones and ensure timely implementation.
- Capable of reviewing mechanical/engineering drawings and pre-production prototypes.
- Ensure a high level of excellence in all creative work — consistent, cohesive, meets objectives, and adheres to budget/s and timeline/s
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and good judgment
- Travel required within US to oversee installations and set up of new stores
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design or Interior Design.
- 5+ years of visual merchandising and/or store design experience in beauty or related industries, with a preference for experience in departments and open-sell formats.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp.
