Your opportunity: As a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, specializing in metal forming and spinning for Greenheck Group, you will work to optimize factory costs, quality, and customer service through the conception, development, and implementation of new or improved manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, material flow, plant layout, or product design, especially those related to metal spinning and forming. Responsible for mentoring, training, indirect supervision of other team members, or may have direct reports. What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinate and implement moderate complexity training initiatives to support manufacturing.
  • Identify, specify, and justify moderate complexity capital expenditures related to metal forming
  • Investigate, purchase, and implement tooling and equipment to support daily operations.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Recognize, recommend, and validate design and process changes to improve manufacturability. Implement changes with product design engineering.
  • Identify and implement improvements to material utilization, department layout and machinery efficiency.
  • Analyze and make recommendations using summarized data to influence key management decisions relating to budgeting, staffing, and capacity planning.
  • Lead and support safety, 5S, and Lean initiatives. Expected to complete internal Lean Leader certification.
  • Will provide mentoring, training, indirect supervision of other team members, or may have direct reports.
  • Manage moderately complex team projects involving individuals from various departments to ensure integration between manufacturing, sales, finance, marketing and product engineering.
  • Support production and manufacturing to optimize quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and operational efficiencies resulting in improved customer satisfaction.
  • Support production and manufacturing quality management system and policies
  • Maintain knowledge of new metal spinning technologies that are appropriate in either product development or in manufacturing processes to improve the company's competitive position.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment especially those related to CNC metal spin forming.
  • Collaborate with the Machine Development Center as it relates to equipment and tool design for metal spin forming.
  • Document and share best practices across the organization.
  • Participate in safety sign offs for new equipment.
  • Participate in Lean initiatives.
What you should have:
  • 6-9 years of relevant work experience in engineering is required for a Sr level role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • 2 Year / associate degree in engineering or a related field of study is required.
  • 4 Year / bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
  • CAD skills are required.
  • General fluency in SAP is preferred.
  • Experience with Lean concepts
  • Advanced experience in plant layout is preferred.
