Position Summary

Oceaneering knows robotics. As a Senior Manufacturing Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Oceaneering Mobile Robotics (OMR) is able to produce vehicles on time, with high quality, and meeting or exceeding customer expectations. You'll lead a team that produces OMR's automated vehicles. You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Strategic Suppliers, Quality, Product Engineering and other groups to ensure we are successful, and that we continuously improve our manufacturing operations. Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

* Operational Oversight: Oversee daily vehicle manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are met, while ensuring the operation is following safety requirements and industry standards and regulations. Implement and monitor production schedules.

* Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage the manufacturing team, including supervisors, technicians, and operators. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Develop and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance. Strengthen team cohesion through effective communication and collaboration. Set clear goals and expectations, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.

* Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards across all manufacturing processes. Implement quality control procedures and address any issues promptly. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure product consistency and reliability.

* Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions. Lead lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.

* Resource Management: Manage budgets, resources, and inventory to optimize production costs. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials. Oversee maintenance of equipment and facilities.

* Strategic Planning and KPI Management: Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with company goals. Analyze production data and trends to inform decision-making. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence. Utilize data-driven decision-making to optimize processes and improve outcomes.

ADDITIONAL

* 20-30% Travel domestically and internationally.

* Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

* Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Business, Operations Management or similar discipline; or a relevant combination of education and experience.

* Minimum 10 years' experience in manufacturing management.

* Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

* Proven track record of managing large teams and complex manufacturing operations.

* Proficiency in manufacturing ERP software and tools such as SAP or Oracle.

DESIRED

* Graduate degree.

* Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
