Together we are searching for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer- Switchgear to join their team, this is a full-time, on-site position at their Kearny, NJ location. The compensation for this position is $130k - $140k based on experience. Responsibilities:
  • Provide design direction for customer review drawings to meet consumer needs and manufacturing demands.
  • Previous experience mentoring and leading a team of mechanical engineers.
  • Develop and design 3D models specific for switchboard assembly.
  • Experience in electrical systems, circuit breakers, component wiring, and busbar routing.
  • Actively contributes to product design as a technical team member on product development projects.
  • Regular adherence to procedures in the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of design experience for custom electrical enclosures, switchgear, or panel boards.
  • BSEE or BSME, required.
  • Working knowledge of UL 891, UL 1558, and/or UL 67 is a plus.
  • Must have working experience with 3-D Cad software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks or equivalent software.
Experience in one of the following product segments:
  • Prior experience in Low Voltage Switchgear, Switchboard design.
  • Power, energy, defense, utilities and control industries.
