We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer!Details: Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8am to 5pm Annual Salary: up to 100k annually DOE. There is an annual bonus. Benefits: Medical Insurance (Health, Dental, Vision) 401(k) Paid time off Holiday Pay Responsibilities:
  • Manage firewalls, data security systems, and network monitoring/alerting solutions to ensure data and communications are secure, while proactively identifying and alerting on issues.
  • Identify, document, and validate compliance with network and infrastructure security best practices.
  • Plan and implement new systems, upgrades, and patching while adhering to best practices.
  • Provide guidance on the expansion of current infrastructure, including cloud opportunities, to meet evolving business demands.
  • Maintain networking, storage, and computer infrastructure with a focus on minimal downtime.
  • Monitor infrastructure and make recommendations to enhance network performance for all systems.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate networking issues to IT team members.
  • Recommend and implement disaster recovery procedures and solutions.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of security, networking, and infrastructure best practices to offer optimal solutions and protection for company systems.
  • Mentor staff in their project initiatives.
Education & Experience:
  • Associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in IT Network Operations in a multi-site, enterprise environment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of ITIL concepts and best practices with an emphasis on Data Center practices.
  • Solid background in network administration and architecture.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure technologies including, but not limited to:
  • Hyperconverged Infrastructure.
  • Virtualization.
  • Enterprise network configuration and management, including SD-WAN.
  • Advanced Firewall Management.
  • Enterprise Data Protection and retention solutions.
  • Familiarity with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools, including Microsoft server, Azure, and Office 365.
  • Proficiency in coding languages for scripting/automation, such as PowerShell and Python.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with people at all organizational levels, as well as with consultants and vendors.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal direct guidance.
  • Ability to persist in resolving issues without becoming upset or overly frustrated.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and identifying resolutions.
Ability to:
  • Work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Balance multiple shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Reverse engineer from end results to determine the best problem-solving approach.
  • Exhibit a positive Can Do attitude.
  • Be available outside normal business hours for issue resolution and on-call rotation.
  • Handle strictly confidential information securely.
Top Skills needed:
  • Need to have at least 7 years of experience.
  • Customer Service.
  • Network protocols, DNS, LAN,WAN, MPLS, DNS, DHCP.
  • Azure and O365.
  • Firewall and switches.
  • PowerShell or Python.
