Overview:

SUMMARY

Arcticom LLC a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Senior Oracle Solutions Architect. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter who will support the Air Force Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Program Office as it manages the portfolio suite of technology services, and accompanying business processes that enable the Air Force to achieve its mission area business goals and objectives, leveraging its investments and delivering government services in an efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

Build and integrate information systems to meet the organization's needs. Analyze current technologies used within the company to determine ways to improve. Work closely with project management team to successfully monitor progress of initiatives. Support architectural team on solutions management and timing of financial spend for application solution. Provide analysis of security protection technologies as necessary. Assess the systems architecture currently in place and work with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it. Resolve technical problems as they arise. Provide supervision and guidance to development teams. Continually research current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed. Inform various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented. Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have. Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets. Assess information systems architecture currently in place and work with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it. Provide recommendations and roadmaps for proposed solutions. Perform design, debug, and performance analysis on solutions. Document and share best practice knowledge for new solutions. Advocate for process improvements and helping develop solutions. Communicate new features and benefits to partners, customers, and other stakeholders. Provide technical leadership to a team throughout the project lifecycle. Develop proof-of-concept projects to validate your proposed solutions. Review and validate solutions designs from other team members.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary)

  • Twenty (20) years design and development of applicable information system(s).
  • Bachelors degree in information technology or computer science or seven years equivalent experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have a favorably adjudicated Tier 3 Investigation
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • Hold a minimum of Security + certification or other qualification that meets DoD-8140 requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Experience with MRO IT system(s) and or technology(ies) to the specific MRO software, hardware, network and Cybersecurity design
  • Experience with middle-tier configuration, redundancy, performance, and scalability of MRO program.
  • Experience in software engineering and design architecture.
  • Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes.
  • Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design.
  • Proven work experience as a Solution Architect or similar role.
  • Previous project management experience is advantageous.
  • In-depth understanding of coding languages.
  • Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Preferred: Current DoD Public Trust clearance

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
