Position Requirements
We are looking for a Senior Payroll Partner to be an integral part of the NAPA payroll team ensuring 6,000+ employees are paid timely and accurately. This individual will have full cycle payroll experience, extensive knowledge of payroll legislation, social security, Medicare, and taxable benefits. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must. The Senior Payroll Specialist is a key role on the team responsible for ensuring pay is processed in compliance with government and company regulations. This position reports to the payroll manager and supervises one staff member.

Key Responsibilities
- Processes multi-state exempt and non-exempt biweekly and semi-monthly payrolls and off-cycle checks; ensures timely processing of all payroll transactions; assists in reconciling payrolls before transmission; validates reports.
- Monitors compliance with FLSA regulations and federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
- Inputs, maintains, and audits payroll information; researches and resolves discrepancies, compiles data from payroll sources for analysis.
- Prepares reports for management; assists with performing reconciliations; ensures timely completion of all payroll tax reporting requirements and issuance of W-2s and W2Cs; responds to IRS equivalent inquiries/audits.
- Processes overpayment repayments and corresponding wage adjustments.
- Works closely with Benefits department on employee leaves of absence and returns from leave.
- Works as subject matter professional on payroll functions and issues; addresses employee questions around payroll earnings and deductions.
- Works with payroll managers to identify processes to be improved and documented; implements new procedures or practices resulting from policy additions and/or system enhancements.
- Develops strong relationships with coworkers and managers and provides feedback on and troubleshoots issues.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned including working on small projects and initiatives to transform and streamline payroll processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- FPC Designation
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or equivalent experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to investigate, research and resolve complex employee queries
- 6+ years' experience running end-to-end multi-state payrolls for 6,000+ employees
Not Required, but a Plus
- CPP Designation
- 2+ years' Workday software experience
- 10+ years payroll systems experience
