Summary:
Coordinates, installs, monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, repairs, documents and updates the installation of networked and standalone personal computer hardware, software and peripherals. Works with PC Support Technician I and II, network engineers and other technical and management staff to complete the requested services. Uses skills to assist PC Technician I and II with daily work. Acts as project lead for complex and large installations. Maintains global view of current work in department to assist in assigning work to PC Technicians.
Associate degree in computer science or related field. Minimum of 5 (five) years experience with installation, configuration and troubleshooting of personal computer hardware, software and peripherals in a networked environment of at least 50 workstations. Additional related experience and PC technician certification may be substituted for the educational requirement or additional education may be substituted for up to one (1) year of experience requirement.
