Job Summary: The Senior Planner is responsible for overseeing the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials required for production. This role ensures a steady supply of all necessary materials to meet production targets without unnecessary overstock or capital tie-up. Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Facilitating the tracking and consumption of material in the ERP system for job modules.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing excess stock.
- Production Coordination: Collaborate with production and planning departments to forecast material needs and ensure seamless production flow.
- Receiving and Warehousing: Oversee receiving procedures, storage, and distribution of materials, ensuring proper documentation and inventory accuracy.
- Cost Control: Monitor and manage material costs, seeking opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Compliance: Ensure all materials and processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain roles.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills. Proficiency in ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).
- Attributes: Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
- Accounting or Finance background is a plus
