Responsibilities:
Design electronic circuits, producing detailed design analysis, selecting electronic parts and integrated circuits for analog and digital high power density compact electronics designs- Lead bench and field testing for the power electronics development, and analyze and troubleshoot to make sure it matches design requirements
System integration and product development of novel AC-DC and DC-DC high power converters for EV charging and energy as a service application- Actively involved in design for manufacturing process, as well as preparing production documentation and equipment for new product introduction
Conduct design validation on prototypes to implement into the design, and be actively involved in design reviews, incorporate team feedback, and release the design documents for buildsFirmware development and coding for the low-voltage signal boards designed, for board validation and system integration
Skills required for this position:
- Experience with electronics and power circuit board designs (designed and built at least one board using Altium or similar tools)
- Experience with analog/digital electronics
- Experience with bench and field instrumentation and testing – using oscilloscope, multimeters, power supplies, voltage/current measurement, etc.
- Experience with microcontroller coding in C (ADCs, IOs, display, SPI, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Experience in electronic circuit design/development with microcontroller-based embedded systems for power applications
Previous experience with automotive applications, battery chargers, grid interactive inverters, and familiarity with agency certification processes: UL, CSA, IEC, FCC, etc.
- Proven ability to work independently under high pressure and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
- Industrial experience with embedded systems for power electronics applications
- Experience with new product development and prototyping
