This individual will be required to conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests using instrumental techniques in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids and gaseous materials related to product development or quality control of production processes or products. Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses in organic, inorganic, physical, analytical chemistry, photochemistry or electrochemistry to determine the chemical and physical properties of materials, liquids and gases.

Major Position Responsibilities

* Develops and conducts basic and applied research projects.

* Utilizes advanced technologies to study chemical processes.

* Creates and conducts experiments.

* Processes and analyzes results and data.

* Prepares technical papers and reports on findings.

* Collaborates with industry or academic specialists to apply the results of research and develop new techniques.

Basic Qualifications

* Required Education and Experience: Associate's Degree and 10-12 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/ or Experience

* Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree

* Discipline/Major: Chemistry or related degree preferred.

* Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Analytical thinking skills. Detail oriented. Analyze Lab Results. Scientific Testing. Test Monitoring.

* Critical Professional Related Technical Skills; Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
