Job Summary The Program Manager serves as an Internal Consulting Group leader and as an internal consultant to Novant Health leadership and staff on large complex system level initiatives. The primary focus of the Program Manager is to provide partnership and facilitation to leaders and teams in strategic planning, project/program execution, and/or design or re-design of high priority system-wide Novant Health processes and service offerings. The Program Manager is expected to pursue her/his/their work with a high level of energy and steadfastly push self and others for results while supporting the organization in education, application of tools, methods, data collection, analysis, project facilitation, project management, mentoring and coaching junior consultants, and general leadership development in areas related to change management. As a leader within the Internal Consulting Group, the Program Manager is expected to provide leadership and primary support to system level initiatives autonomously with limited support and guidance from Internal Consulting leadership, while demonstrating the ability to mentor and lead junior consultants. Integration Office team members are responsible for assigned integration-related projects and will be involved throughout the transaction lifecycle, from decisioning to stabilizing, using effective project and business management practices. This includes coordinating/facilitating multi-disciplinary teams which include all levels of team members within NH. Accountable for all aspects of the project lifecycle for assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. This person will lead assigned projects involving pre-integration, close management, and post-close integration activities with an extensive focus on communication and stakeholder management combined with a spirit of collaboration and overall knowledge of Novant Health system and departmental capabilities and functions. Accountable for stringent monitoring and control processes during the entire project. Need to have extensive experience with schedule management, resource management and fiscal management. Rigorously manage scope and requirements to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters. This role will lead multiple large, complex, strategic projects that span across many departments. Qualifications
- Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree required.
- Experience: Minimum eight years extensive experience independently managing or leading projects with complex interdependencies in a consulting, planning, analytics, leadership, or performance improvement role. Required.
- Additional Skills/Requirements (required) •Proven track record with integration projects that includes:
- Advisory support for deal considerations and diligence
- Optimizing operating model and organization design
- Identifying synergies, developing & coordinating plan to achieve measured synergies
- Developing and executing integration plan for Day 1+
- Coordinating communications for culture and change management
- Identifying interdependencies and risks and implementing needed resolutions/mitigations
- Aligning multiple stakeholders towards agreed upon end-state
- Optimizing transition service agreements, where relevant
- Financial and IT acumen to understand and convey impact
- Expert knowledge of project management practices to include:
- Prior experience managing large, complex, strategic projects crossing multiple departments
- Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills (written & verbal) both internally to the project team and to executives.
- Experience resolving project issues and conflicts encountered by team members.
- Ability to establish credible relationships with business partners to drive change
- Ability to function effectively in an environment with multiple and fluctuating priorities; successfully manage multiple priority projects simultaneously; and take direction from, or support, multiple leaders.
- Decision-making, project leadership and consultation skills. o Ability to be a team player, contribute to a positive working environment, and demonstrate initiative, ownership, and accountability. o Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project. Ability to mentor others.
