10-01493Who We Are:The Intelligent Systems Division develops automated solutions for commercial and government clients in multiple domains including transportation (traffic management, connected automated vehicle), manufacturing robotics, medical prognostics, and communication standards. This position has the option of being fully remote in the following states: AL, AZ, Dis. of Columbia, FL, GA, MA, MD, MI, MN, NH, NJ, NC, OH, OK, OR, TX, UT, VA, WV only. Alternate work location is San Antonio, TX.Objectives of this Role:Lead department program/business development initiatives to expand ITS tech offerings to existing and new customers.Interact with clients to promote expansion of new and existing projects, prepare proposals, and develop long term programs.Lead and manage a diversified technical team on engineering projects.Establish strategic direction for SwRI's ITS programs.Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:Lead business development efforts to expand ITS in both existing and new markets.Lead programs/projects that result in satisfied long term clients providing repeat business for SwRI.Lead/develop proposals, white papers or presentations to market SwRI's ITS capabilities to win work.Establish strategic direction for ATMS/ITS programs.Provide program management leadership of projects involving software supporting a mix of state government and commercial clients.Requirements:Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.15 years: Strong experience with business development, client management/relationship, project management, and leadership of technical projects.Strong experience in writing proposals, white papers, and making presentations to clients.Strong organizational, management, communications, technical, and interpersonal skills are essential.Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well both individually and as a member of a project team. Must be a fast learner, self-motivated, self-starter, and able to multitask.A valid/clear driver's license is required.Special Requirements:Work assignment is remote.
