The Senior Project Manager will manage the Beaumont Water Resources Group and will be responsible for public works and municipal engineering project management and operations. Projects will include drainage and street design/construction. Aspects of the job include management and growth of the group, client relations, project management, P&L tracking, team leadership, budgeting/programming, planning, analysis, design, bid/construction phases and regulatory clearance. General Responsibilities:
- Planning, coordinating and directing large and important engineering projects with many complex features.
- Managing and developing the Beaumont water resources group as well as contributing to the growth of the LJA's Water Resources practice within the LJA Public Works division.
- Coordinating staffing and project needs in Beaumont office along with coordinating with other LJA public works offices.
- Leading a team of PE's, EIT's, designers, and CAD draftsmen to produce studies, reports and/or design plans, specifications & estimates as may be requested / required by the client.
- Responsible for the daily operations and deliverables that may be necessary for engineering analysis, design/construction and similar public works opportunities as they arise.
- The Senior Project Manager will interact with Clients and other consultants and must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
- Assist in the preparation of qualification statements and proposals and project conduct site visits (some travel required).
Required Education/Licenses:
- Bachelor of Science, Civil or Environmental Engineering with a Water Resources focus is required.
- Registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer
Required Experience:
- Project management experience for public works clients in the Texas Gulf Coast region
- 10+ years' experience in Civil/Public Works Engineering
- Strong communication skills & demonstrated technical aptitude
