Job Description:
Sr. Project Plumbing Construction ManagerMetroPower is hiring a Senior Project Manager tomanage commercial and high-end residential Plumbing construction projects and will report tothe branch manager. This position will require the candidate to manage safety,employee engagement, customer satisfaction, profits, and sales growth ofmultiple customers and projects. Continually prospect for new customers andexpand services into new regions within his/her area of responsibility. Conduct business in accordance with PPC and Metropower Inc. missionand vision statements. In addition, the senior project manager role willinclude the responsibility of mentoring others and being involved in developingand implementing process improvement initiatives.Responsibilities:- Sales and P&L responsibilities for assigned book of work- Conceptual budgeting and estimating oversight- Manage billing & collections- Project forecasting- Change order management- Manpower scheduling- Customer relationship development: ensure high quality service is provided to guarantee repeat sales and favorable recommendations. - Problem solving: provide prompt action to resolve customer concerns.- Provide department leadership while acting as a team player; lead by example; provide necessary and frequent communication to direct reports to ensure smooth and efficient operation of department.- Provide personnel development plans, monitoring, coaching, feedback, & growth opportunities to direct reports.- Manage employee job performance, complete performance appraisals timely. Counsel, discipline, and terminate as necessary and in accordance with company policiesQualifications:- Bachelor of science in engineering or construction management-related degree from an accredited institution. Journeyman background (4-5 year apprenticeship) may be considered with significant work experience and meeting all additional requirements below.- Minimum 10 years experience in commercial mechanical construction.- Knowledge of estimating, scheduling, and budget processes.- Individual must be self-motivated, able to work independently, meet deadlines and budgets, work on multiple jobs simultaneously, and fulfill all job requirements in a timely fashion.- Proven ability to manage risk & profitability successfully.- Positive Safety Attitude / High Personal Integrity - both are non-negotiable.- Must be highly customer-service oriented; ability to create new and maintain current customer satisfaction.- Must have good oral and written communication skills.- Proficient in use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel as well as general software and office technology MetroPower is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Minority/Disabled/Veterans/Females areencouraged to apply.
