We go-to-market through a team of more than 1,500 professional salespeople, a global network of resellers and distributors, digital and print catalogs and a powerful website (www.fishersci.com) that contains content about more than 2.5 million products.Key Responsibilities:The Quality Control Associate role is responsible for conducting audits to ensure accuracy and compliance throughout all areas of the distribution center. The audits will be focused on supplier compliance and adherence to industry standards for EDI, packing slip accuracy, labeling, and general packing and inbound shipping quality. This position requires establishing and maintaining a strategic and collaborative relationship with a remote team in Pittsburgh and supporting the internal distribution team. The Quality Control Associate ensures the adherence for suppliers to meet our Operational Requirements and the penetration of electronic transaction utilization.Key Responsibilities:
  • Detailed documentation of inbound supplier receiving audits:
  • Packing slip accuracy
  • Labeling accuracy
  • Carton integrity
  • General packing and shipping
  • Inspection/audit of damaged freight
  • Documentation and communication of non-compliance with both the Supplier Relations and Distribution Center
Teams
  • Support department standup meetings
  • Involvement in continuous improvement in developing compliance systems and process
  • Demonstrate strong safety awareness and flow all the guidelines within the Distribution Center
  • Participate in Distribution Center and Supplier Relations activities and events
Metrics
  • Supplier compliance to Operational and EDI requirements - quantity and quality metrics
  • ASN Accuracy/Penetration
  • Receiving Productivity & Efficiency
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma
  • 3 years of Distribution/Operations/Manufacturing experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Understanding of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong cross functional relationship building
  • Independent self-motivated worker

Compensation and BenefitsThe hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $19.83-$29.74.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
