We are now looking for an experienced Research Scientist for our R&D Center in Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities and accountabilities: - Required to be an expert in the research areas of focus.
- Self-starter with good time management skills.
- Ability to execute experimental designs and testing programs. As well as contribute to ideation to test hypotheses and develop novel procedures for application to project efforts.
- Required to develop and understanding of Kemira's intellectual property, product line, performance advantages and limitations, testing methods, and customer needs.
- Responsible for communicating details of work to other team members and take some direction from project managers.
- Required to prepares and present written reports and presentations that are concise, clearly understood and contain appropriate conclusions and recommendations.
- May be required to travel frequently to manufacturing sites to conduct tests

What you'll bring to the team: - Graduate Level Degree with 5-10 yrs or B.S. or B.A. chemistry with 10-15 yrs industrial experience in the area inorganic or organometallic chemistry. Experience with catalytically driven polymerization is a plus.
- Manufacturing plant experience is considered a plus.
- Experience in lab to pilot to plant scale up.
- Knowledge of analytical, inorganic, organic, polymer, physical chemistry, and/or chemical engineering required.
- Advanced computer skills and knowledge of advanced mathematics (i.e. statistical experimental design and analysis)
- Has successfully demonstrated the ability to deliver with a sense of ownership, in a team setting or as an individual contributor.
- Able to effectively communicate scientific results both orally and in written reports.
