Job Title: Sr. Specialist, Quality EngineeringJob Code: 16451Job Location: Millersville, MDSchedule: 9/80Job Description:Under the general direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineering Senior Specialist shall be responsible for the implementation, maintenance and control of a quality management system to ensure that delivered products meet all required corporate and contract standards and specifications. The Senior Quality Engineering Senior Specialist is specifically delegated the authority to stop in-plant operations or defer shipments, on a time-limited basis, when the product does not meet company or customer requirements. The Quality Engineering Senior Specialist shall utilize current Quality Engineering tools, techniques and methods to identify and monitor product and process quality trends, to investigate, isolate and solve problems, and to drive continual improvement.Essential Functions:Experienced individual yielding strong quality engineering and manufacturing engineering skillsets with demonstrated problem solving experience and quality process knowledge.Support quality and manufacturing engineering leadership to ensure methodology is applied in a way that supports business performance and true alignment of business goals and objectives.Effectively communicate across multiple organizations to align a strategic and tactical path to success for manufacturing operations at the site while improving quality.Support, mentor and guide the technical application leaders in the implementation of the methodology and development of materials, best practices, lean initiatives, 5S, and RCCA via advanced problem solving.Generate and analyze data to prioritize corrective action and improvement requirements.Facilitate multi-functional groups in problem solving efforts confirming root cause identification, generating corrective actions and verification items are implemented and sustained.Develop and present RCCA PowerPoints to program teams, local and corporate leadership.Assist in the planning and implementation of the L3Harris ZDP (Zero Defect Plan).Input into process layouts, build plans, work instructions, and visual aids to assist in continuous improvement efforts for supporting production.Become intimately involved in the production processes to help drive out waste, limit variation with error-proofing and improve process reliability.Evaluate and disposition customer returns, in-process defects and address day to day quality concerns rapidly implementing containment and corrective actions as applicable.Support sustainment and improvement in the Quality Management System supporting Internal and External Audits.Support Product Selloff to all Customers including DCMA.Qualifications:Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Proficient in MS Office, Strong communication…)Certified Internal AuditorIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $101,000 - $165,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
