Job Description:
Summary:The Sr Specialist, Servicing QC is responsible for conducting quality control reviews of the various servicing areas in accordance with insurer/investor guidelines, and state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate must be a subject matter expert with experience in performing and non-performing loan servicing.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Act as a subject matter expert with extensive mortgage servicing knowledge on federal and state regulations, as well as understanding of business best practices, processes and procedures to ensure audit scope is compliant.
  • Conducts loan level reviews for adherence to servicing guidelines and provide clear and concise feedback.
  • Review applicable federal and state laws and regulations and makes recommendations to Servicing QC management.
  • Perform complex analysis of specific servicing requirements which includes testing for target and expanded reviews, and corrective action resolutions.
  • Strong knowledge of audit software, auditing techniques, and proficiency with utilizing large amounts of data is required.
  • Check all audit findings for completeness, accuracy, and identify risks associated with mortgage servicing.
  • Gather and analyzes data.
  • Assist and work closely with departmental staff within SQC and Operations Risk and participate in process improvement activities.
  • Self-motivation, with a proven ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and minimum of 6 years related mortgage servicing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Problems typically involve consideration of multiple issues and understanding of the financial/mortgage industry.
