Job Description:

We are searching for a full-time Antibody Discovery Senior Staff Program Manager to join our team and help continue to develop strong customer relationships with large and small biotech organizations. The Program Manager will work closely with the Business Development and Project Management teams to coordinate custom B cell screening antibody discovery campaigns from early project design to final deliverables. In this role, the PMO will liaise between our partners and laboratory scientists and will be highly involved in business development at Twist Biopharma Solutions.

A significant part of the role will involve designing, planning, and coordinating therapeutic antibody development campaigns, including direct management of a portfolio of projects, partner communications, and interaction with scientific teams. The ideal candidate will have strong antibody discovery knowledge and direct (or indirect) biologics-based therapeutic drug development experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Navigate the company's most complex, visible, and risky projects.
  • Provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams and manage program risks and dependencies.
  • Provide technical consultation to our partners to enable optimal outcomes for antibody discovery campaigns, including those involving some of the industry's most challenging targets.
  • Design and manage the execution of antibody discovery campaigns on the industry-leading B cell screening platform, the Berkeley Lights Beacon
  • Significant involvement in the business development process and early project discussion/design and SoW drafting
  • Frequent communication with partners, including technical support and troubleshooting
  • Frequent coordination with antibody scientists and the business development team
  • Management of antibody discovery project timelines, scheduling, and deliverables using Smartsheets
  • Data quality control and report analysis/presentation
  • Work with Finance to support the development and implementation of a standard process to invoice Biopharma customers in an expeditious manner as and when required
  • Assist Finance with navigating through the payments processed for invoiced milestones
  • Maintain a “real-time” revenue reporting system that includes all customer (revenue-generating) biopharma projects
  • Working with Product Management, the Biopharma team, and Finance, develop a Biopharma menu of services and sub-services with accurate COGS and end-user pricing to support customer quotes and proposals
  • Follow regulatory and ISO 13485 requirements

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • A passion for antibody discovery and development
  • Excellent client-facing experience and ability to successfully manage multiple projects
  • Experience managing cross-functional programs
  • Therapeutic antibody drug discovery expertise, ideally utilizing single-cell workflows.
  • Deep In vivo and antibody discovery industry experience and knowledge
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of Hybridoma and Beacon workflows for Antibody Discovery
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of biologics characterization assays (SPR/BLI affinity ranking/measurement, ELISA, FACS) and functional assays (epitope binning, neutralization screening)
  • Moderate of advanced knowledge of antigen formulation, animal immunization and tissue harvesting, cell culture, cell fusion and other related techniques
  • Ability to troubleshoot scientific data and present data to customers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (required)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in relevant scientific or technical discipline required
  • Minimum 12+ years of Program / Project Management experience in the Life Science / Biotech Industry
  • Experience with both agile and waterfall project management, PMP Certification Preferred
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
