A local Charlotte client is looking to expand their dynamic IT team! They need a well-versed Sr. Systems Engineer who is willing to be on-site and is open to team collaboration on projects. Responsibilities:
- Oversee projects, systems, and issues of varied complexity related to IT systems planning, configuration, and optimization.
- Engage in infrastructure planning, architecture design, and engineering.
- Administer Windows and Linux Server Operating Systems.
- Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware, ESXi, and vSphere.
- Handle the full suite of M365 and Azure products.
- Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Cisco and Fortinet network systems.
- Deploy and manage workloads in the Azure cloud
- Manage escalation tickets for infrastructure-related issues, including system outages.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation as required.
- Collaborate with leadership across all functional business areas to identify process improvement and automation opportunities.
- Support, implement, and stay current with Cyber Security best practices and systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of Windows system administration using PowerShell (AD, DNS, WSUS, SCCM, group policy, Intune, ATP).
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure offerings.
- Experience with enterprise-class firewalls from Cisco and Fortinet.
- Strong understanding of network design and protocols
- Expertise in VMware-based virtualization platforms.
- Proficient in scripting using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and quickly learn new technologies.
