Our teams of hundreds of scientists, engineers, aerospace professionals, and futurists have been working hard to do just that! We are delivering to customers and are excited for what's to come. If you are seeking an iterative environment where you can drive innovation, apply state-of-the-art technologies to solve real-world delivery challenges, and provide benefits to customers, Prime Air is the place for you.

Position Overview

Prime Air is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager on our Product, Program and Tech organization. In this role, you will be responsible for program managing the product and engineering roadmap of customer-facing features of drone deliveries.

You will work closely with Program Managers, Technical Program Managers, Engineering Leaders (up to and including Vice Presidents), Product Managers, and engineers to deliver on our engineering objectives. Your role is the key leader of our engineering teams, working closely with technical and non-technical leaders across Amazon to develop and execute on our plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the strategic roadmap, aligning with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Manage the end-to-end program lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure successful program execution.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks; escalate issues and drive resolution as needed.
  • Develop detailed project plans, track progress against milestones, and provide regular status updates to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate decision-making processes, driving alignment and consensus across various teams and stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance program delivery efficiency and quality.
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
  • This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
