MK Search is currently working with a leading polymer resins manufacturer committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in the industry. Their advanced materials and solutions support various sectors, including automotive, construction, electronics, and consumer goods.
They are looking for a Senior Technology Manager to lead a team of scientists, engineers and technicians to design, develop, and improve custom polymer compounds. This is accomplished by working closely with the sales, marketing and business development teams to identify and prioritize development opportunities that will further drive the growth of specialty formulations
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Oversee, mentor, and develop a team of six technology professionals, ensuring high performance and engagement.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Technology Development:
- Lead the development and implementation of new polymer resin technologies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in product quality, manufacturing processes, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with R&D to ensure alignment of new technologies with market needs.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute a strategic technology roadmap that supports business objectives.
- Identify emerging trends and technologies in polymer resins and assess their potential impact on the business.
- Work closely with senior management to align technology strategy with overall business strategy.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple technology projects, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress and mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. A Master's or Ph.D. is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in polymer resins or a related industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading technology development projects from concept to commercialization.
- Strong knowledge of polymer resin technologies, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
