An integral part of the successful management of these brands is the on-premise trade marketing management as it pertains to covering national accounts.

The Sr. Trade Marketing Manager, dedicated to On-Premise National & Strategic Accounts, develops and plans on-premise programs intended to increase trial, and/or increase conversion. As a team, we are also moving in a direction where we are building and executing big, scalable insight-driven programs that can be executed across consumer groups where we feel there is a big enough opportunity.

This role needs to work in the development of consumer-specific programs in close alignment with Trade Marketing, brand teams, sales team, and functional support teams.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Planning and Development: Supports the presentation/ RFP development and is the marketing resource for the On-Premise National & Strategic Account team. Guiding strategic & creative deployment of brands across several key On-Premise National Account customers.The role assists in developing the cadence for On-Premise go-to-market strategies.
  • The role requires developing and guiding innovative tactics, POS elements drink strategy and insights to be impactful in the on-premise national & strategic account landscape.
  • Commercialization: This role provides critical marketing linkage, knowledge and support to ensure brand standards, purpose, communications and programs are commercially sound, impactful and grounded in deep consumer understanding.
  • Engagement: Works hand-in-hand with the On-Premise Sales National & Strategic Account team and brand teams to:

1) Establish a feedback loop so they can think of National & Strategic accounts, while devising their strategies.

2) It is the role of the Trade Marketing Manager On-Premise National & Strategic Accounts to turn national programs into account specific programs and vice versa

-This manager will lead the development of innovative consumer-driven and focused, high-impact strategies for the back-bar, menus and features that are customizable and grounded in commercial reality.

-This manager will support and attend National Account conferences as needed and coordinate/ execute trade and National Account On-Premise consumer events.

  • Digital: Proficient in consumer digital strategy and tactics. Must be strong in bringing new ideas to persuade consumers to arrive in on-premise National & Strategic accounts with Proximo brands in mind.
  • Reporting: Conduct measurement and evaluation on executed programs and recommends new ways to improve ROI.
  • Communication: Work very closely with numerous agency resources as well as finance, and legal

-Share best practices across all brands to encourage efficiency and effective execution.

  • Analytical: Proficiency with on-premise category management and syndicated data.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage and influence a large number of internal stakeholders across executive, supply, marketing and sales functions to coordinate activity and consistency of outcomes.

-Business Acumen: Knowledge of marketing and trade marketing activities, tools and techniques. Solid knowledge of relevant markets and competition.

  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Gather and analyze information skillfully. Develop alternative solutions and work well in group problem solving situations.

-The collaborative spirit is also critical to build the much-needed relationships with our stakeholders.

  • Creativity: The ability to solve complex problems with creative solutions and the willingness to find new ways to grow the business is critical in order to thrive in this role.

-Ability to build adapt and/or build big, creative programs. To develop & translate consumer insights into consumer-specific activities and programs.

  • Communication: Partner with branding teams to understand the brand strategy that will inform the design of trade marketing content. Serve as a liaison between brand teams, agencies, and Sales, to ensure alignment with brand positioning and program objectives within the National & Strategic Account landscape.

-Presentation Skills: Having a good data driven story is critical, must be able to deliver internal and external impactful presentations to major stake holders.

  • Internal: Marketing, Sales – National Account On-Premise Team & Legal
  • External: Ground Signal & Suppliers Agencies

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelors in marketing or comparable degree is required.
  • 7+ years FMCG experience.
  • Key Requirement: Deep understanding of on-premise strategy, tactics and route to market. Keen understanding of the consumer landscape.Track record of success in: consumer insight development, brand activation, joint customer business planning.
  • Strong previous experience with customers (on-premise channels) consumer marketing curriculum.
  • Data analysis and ability to craft a compelling and succinct selling story for trade.
  • Ability to switch seamlessly between ideation and commercial.
  • Agency experience (first-hand or managing of agencies) a plus.
  • Alcoholic Beverage trade/shopper marketing and commercial experience.
  • Proficiency with Category management and syndicated data.
  • Excellent Power Point, presentation, communication and project management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic working relationships
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, time management and presentation skills required.

The salary range for this role is a base salary of $134,400 - $173,000, along with an annual bonus, 401K match, and medical and wellness benefits. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate's experience and skill set against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
