Job Description:

Job Summary:Under general supervision, this position acts as a subject matter expert forTrailer Technicians. The Senior is responsible for performing complexmaintenance, service, and repair of J.B. Hunt trailers, containers, chassis andother equipment. Technicians must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, andcomplete all fleet maintenance processes and ensure that units meet J. B. Huntspecifications at all times. This position has the possibility to workoutdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/orweekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance.

Job Description:

The expected starting pay range for this position isbetween $23.10 - $34.65 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrateadvanced knowledge of preventative maintenance, replacement ofparts/components, and complex repairs as it pertains trailer maintenance,air brake systems and FHWA Inspections
  • Maytroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair specialized trailer equipment such asrefrigerated units
  • Mayonboard and mentor new Tractor Technician trainees; act as team lead toinclude beginning or ending shifts
  • Participatein Original Equipment Manufacture training for OE repairs
  • Troubleshoottractor issues, develop innovative solutions, and work independently underminimal direction
  • Understandand effectively follow all shop safety procedures
  • Maintainprofessional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers at alltimes
  • Completesecondary maintenance on escalated repairs
  • Accuratelyperform the most difficult repairs to company and manufacturer'sspecifications, complete work orders, and exceed requirementsfor standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Mustbe 18 years of age with 3 or more years of experience in semi-trailermaintenance and repair or equivalent combination of education andexperience, or military equivalent
  • ANDDemonstration of the following skills and abilities through education,certifications, military, or other experiences
  • Mustbe DOT certified in FHWA inspections and air brakes
  • Ableto supply your own basic tools, or purchase through our toolbox purchaseprogram
  • Willingnessto work outdoors in the elements
  • Ableto work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends if needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HighSchool Diploma or GED equivalent with 3 or more years of experience insemi-trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of educationand experience, or military equivalent
  • EPAsection 608 certification and Refrigeration License
  • Advancedwelding skills (MIG and stick)
  • Knowledgeof ABS systems
  • Abilityto effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas throughvarious mediums
  • Abilityto manage multiple priorities
  • Abilityto work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficientcomputer skills and/or comfortable working with a computer, includingMicrosoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Abilityto use time and resources efficiently and effectively
  • Abilityto fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliance up to 50 pounds)
  • Abilityto wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range mayinclude skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications ofthe successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus andincentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms ofthe Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from timeto time.
