We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our accounting team.The Staff Accountant II will take a more hands-on approach to supporting and maintaining the daily duties for the accounting team. The main responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit requests, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. This individual is an analytical problem solver, self-starter, and can work with cross-departmental teams and help with the team members in their daily tasks and supporting the team with investigations of discrepancies.Responsibilities •Assist with the monthly financial close, including entering journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and maintaining supporting schedules.•Coordinate with other accountants and management, help with monthly general ledger journal entries, reports, and daily reports about any account errors.•Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of cash and financial data.•Aid in the preparation of reconciliations and investigate reporting discrepancies.•Prepare and assist in the generation of financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.•Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and standards in compliance with SOX.•Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing documentation and support as required.•Support the business processes by partnering with other teams such as Accounts Payable, Treasury, Inventory, Operations, and Marketing and effectively communicate with all levels of management.•Support, when necessary, with the investigation and resolution of any irregularities or inquiries.•Maintain organized and detailed financial records and documentation.•Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.Qualifications & Requirements •Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.•3+ years of professional experience working in a public accounting role.•Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.•Previous working experience in SAP an added plus.•Proactive self-starter attitude and ability to exercise judgment and solve difficult problems.•Analytical mind with problem-solving skills.•Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.•Strong communication skills, team-oriented nature, and attention to detail.•Manage timelines, milestones, and comfortable pivoting when necessary.•Extraordinary excel skills.BenefitsAt R2Net, many of our roles offer a high-quality, comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, paid time off, retirement planning and opportunities for career advancement. Annual base pay range: $75,000 - $90,000.
