Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant will support the North America (NA) Controllership team by performing essential accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. This role involves maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Key tasks include preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and managing intercompany transactions and balances. The Staff Accountant will work closely with colleagues and the Global Business Services (GBS) team to ensure offshore activities align with company policies. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Accountabilities

* Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with company policies and US GAAP.

* Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies on time.

* Work closely with the Global Business Services (GBS) team to ensure offshore accounting activities are performed accurately and timely.

* Communicate effectively with offshore resources to address and resolve any issues.

* Use accounting knowledge to manage and reconcile intercompany transactions, ensuring balances are accurate and in accordance with GAAP.

* Maintain proper documentation and compliance with intercompany policies.

* Work with internal and external auditors to provide timely and accurate documentation and assist in audit preparations.

* Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

* Participate in ad hoc projects and analysis as required by management.

* Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required Education, Skills and Experience

* Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college.

* Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

* Demonstrated understanding of US GAAP.

Desirable Education, Skills and Experience

* Experience with a US publicly listed company is a plus.

* Experience with accounting software such as SAP S4 Hana, Blackline, and Hyperion is a plus.

* Strong communication skills.

* Ability to be organized and prioritize tasks.

* Desire to learn and continuously improve skills, staying updated with industry best practices and new accounting standards.

* Good team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, contribute to team goals, and support a positive work environment.

* Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-currency transactions.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Attention to detail and accuracy in work.

The salary range for this position is $56,000- 84,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
