We are a young growing firm looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and analyzing financial records for clients on a monthly and quarterly basis from the work performed by staff and client bookkeepers. Must have min 5 years experience (taxes). NOTE: In person - Freeport office or Plainview office Responsibilities: Review staff work performed including monthly bank reconciliations, monthly and quarterly closings, payroll reporting in order to prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting. Maintain worksheets and analysis in order to properly prepare tax estimates and planning Work closely with project managers to report staffing needs and openings Prepare time and billing reports from which client invoices will be prepared Maintain technical knowledge of all relevant tax and accounting rules and compliance requirements Qualifications: Previous relevant experience in public accounting. Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks desk top and QuickBooks online Desire knowledge in Office Tools and Microsoft office 365 Experience preparing and reviewing payroll sales and income tax returns Able to maintain a vigorous schedule of staff and client work load Detail and deadline-oriented must be able to demonstrate ability to document work processes Critical thinking with strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to communicate in person and through email and review notes Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Salary: $66,000 - $77,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
