JOB DESCRIPTION

This individual will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting Department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the processes which ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly journal entries for multiple entities, including accounts receivable and accounts payable entries.
  • Perform general account analysis and reconciliations including bank reconciliations, accruals and other functions.
  • Research significant and/or unusual activity and propose correcting journal entries to management.
  • Perform data verification, including inter-company monitoring.
  • Provide support before and during yearly financial statement audits.

JOB requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting required.
  • 0-2 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Experience with general ledger system and sub ledger structures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills, analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Team player that can collaborate with others.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
