Who We're Looking For: As a key member of the BNI Finance team, the Staff Accountant will be an essential contributor to the order-to-cash process. The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with the monthly close process, maintaining accurate customer records and properly applying customer payments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hungry to learn, has a strong desire to increase their accounting skills, maintains a high level of integrity and possesses a positive attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Participate in month end close by recording journal entries and reconciling accounts Collaborate with a wide variety of business partners, both domestic and international Provide documentation and support for the annual audit Identify areas for process improvement Document key procedures Ensure accuracy of the accounts receivable aging Prepare and issue accurate and timely customer invoices Liaison with customers to reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve issues Follow-up on past due accounts Collect, process and properly apply incoming payments Fulfill ad hoc projects requested by Finance leadership Experience & Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in accounting One to three years of accounting experience is preferred Key Competencies : Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and Excel Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Attention to detail Action oriented with a sense of urgency A quick learner who extrapolates previously acquired knowledge to new scenarios Ability to prioritize, multi-task and perform within a fast-paced environment Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills Ability to provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders We are a company that focuses on Building Relationships.
