To learn more, visit Job Summary The Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role involves a variety of tasks that support the financial health and compliance of an organization.Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  • Record and categorize financial transactions in the general ledger.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all accounts are balanced.
  • Perform monthly bank settlements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparation and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations.
  • Analyze tax policies and handle tax payments and returns.
  • Assist with external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
  • Help in the preparation of budgets and monitor expenses.
  • Analyze budgets and create expense reports.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Conduct billing processes and handle invoices.
  • Ensure all financial practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
  • Provide analytical and strategic insights to improve financial performance.
  • Organize and update financial records.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in accounting or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

Please ensure that you are able to meet these expectations before applying.Compensation Information The average salary for this position is expected to be between $55,000 and $90,000/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We do not anticipate candidates to be paid at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis.
