Job Description:
Our client, a well-established manufacturing plant in Bellevue, OH, seeks a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join their financial team. This role supports the financial health of the plant by managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and contributing to financial decision-making. Working within a highly collaborative environment alongside a dedicated Plant Controller, the Plant Accountant will play a key role in maintaining compliance and driving process improvements. This opportunity is ideal for an accountant with manufacturing experience who is eager to contribute energy, diligence, and a strong work ethic to a dynamic team.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & Month-End Close:Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.Manage general ledger entries, oversee month-end closing activities, and ensure timely completion of journal entries.Conduct variance analyses and ensure accuracy in reporting for consistent financial health insights.Budgeting & Forecasting Support:Assist in budget preparation, resource allocation, and financial forecasting, offering recommendations for cost control.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data and support effective decision-making.Tooling and Cost Accounting:Manage tooling accounting processes and support cost accounting functions, providing insight into production costs and budget alignment.Monitor inventory levels and valuation to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with company policies.Internal Controls & Compliance:Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory standards.Prepare for and assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.Accounts Payable/Receivable Oversight:Coordinate with the third-party provider whom handles AP and AR to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.Review financial transactions for compliance and address any discrepancies proactively.Process Improvement & Efficiency:Continuously assess and refine accounting processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity.Support the integration of new accounting technologies and best practices for streamlined financial operations.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.2+ years of similar accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.Solid understanding of GAAP and relevant accounting standards.Preferred Experience:Prior experience in tooling accounting or manufacturing cost analysis.Knowledge of inventory management and valuation processes in a manufacturing context.Experience working with cross-functional teams and supporting audits.Titles Encouraged to Apply:Staff AccountantCost AccountantFinancial AnalystSenior AccountantManufacturing AccountantAccounting AnalystGeneral Ledger AccountantIf you're ready to contribute to a high-performing team within a leading manufacturing environment, apply today and join a company dedicated to financial excellence and continuous improvement
