Job Title: Staff AccountantJob DescriptionA general ledger accountant's job is to ensure the accuracy of financial data and documents, and to prepare and reconcile financial statements. They may also help with tax preparation and filing, and support auditors during internal and external audits.
Responsibilities- Analyze financial information and provide financial recommendations.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare journal entries for recurring expenses, accruals, and other adjusting entries.
- Generate financial reports, including budget variance reports.
- Ensure financial records comply with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support.
- Assist in tax preparation and filing activities.
- Support auditors in conducting internal and external audits.
