Job DetailsWe are seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. Key Responsibilities
- Execute month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling bank and general ledger accounts.
- Manage fixed assets, including tracking acquisitions, dispositions, and depreciation schedules.
- Manage monthly reporting and maintain city business licenses, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Assist in preparing for external and internal audits by compiling accurate documentation and addressing inquiries.
- Uphold and enhance internal controls and compliance processes, maintaining the highest ethical standards.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and take on duties aligned with organizational priorities, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate across departments to provide financial insights and support, promoting a team-focused work environment.
- Assists in general accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- A minimum of 4 years of corporate accounting experience
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with audit processes and financial reporting compliance.
