Job DetailsKey Responsibilities:Accounts Payable (AP):Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements with accuracy and timeliness.Reconcile AP transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors.Cash Disbursements:Manage cash disbursement processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.Prepare and process payment batches, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.Grants Accounting:Perform basic grants accounting functions, including tracking expenditures and reconciling grant-related accounts.Assist with preparing financial reports for grant compliance.Journal Entries:Prepare and post journal entries for monthly and year-end closings.Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure proper documentation.Other Duties:Support month-end and year-end close processes.Assist in audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with accounting policies.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.2 to 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in nonprofit or grant-funded organizations.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and MS Excel.Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with grants management and fund accounting.Familiarity with compliance requirements for nonprofit organizations.Interested in hearing more?
