Description

Iona University Counseling Center is seeking a part-time, New York State licensed Clinical Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor with expertise in CBT, DBT, and/or ACT to join the clinical services team. The part-time staff clinician position requires delivery of direct clinical services to individuals and groups. These services include individual psychotherapy, walk-in triage, crisis intervention, emergency evaluation, case management, referral, and consultation. Additional responsibilities may include the provision of clinical supervision to externs, development and delivery of didactic seminars, and in-service to externs and Counseling Center staff. The position also includes participating in the development and delivery of outreach and training programs on mental health and wellness topics to students, faculty, staff, and trainees. Pre-licensure candidates will not be considered for this role.

The part-time clinician must be available a minimum of 14 hours per week. This position will last for 9 months.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* To provide clinical services including individual and group psychotherapy; crisis intervention; consultation and referral; walk-in triage; case management of clients; supervision of graduate level externs and postdoctoral fellows; participation in after-hours on-call rotation.

* To provide psychoeducational outreach, training, workshops, didactics, and case consultation within the Center and to outside constituents as assigned.

* To document all professional activities in case notes, emergency reports and other Center documents in a clear and timely fashion.

* To contribute to policy and reporting documents as assigned by the Director and/or Associate Director.

* To perform additional duties to be assigned by the Counseling Center administration as deemed necessary.
