It is not necessary to complete a separate credentialing packet for each position to which you apply.Please follow the link to complete the credentialing application: Please complete either the licensed provider credentialing application (TSCA) or the Non-licensed provider credentialing application as appropriate for the position to which you have applied.I) Job PurposeA) Reporting to the Program Director of ABH and Assistant Director of ABH, the Clinical Specialist provides clinical supervision assistance and consultation to the Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) throughout the Adult Behavioral Health Division. Activities include staff training and monitoring of the provision of treatment in order to assure that all QMHP services and related documentation meet or exceed current federal, state, and local requirements. The Clinical Specialist assesses the need for staff training, designs and provides training for all QMHP staff under the guidance of the Clinical Supervisors. This training is a dynamic and interactive event that provides staff with guidance, information, materials and resources to continually improve the services provided to consumers of service.II) Essential Functions
- Provide clinical consultation and training to BH QMHPs as necessary to ensure clinical and professional accountability.
- Attends staff meetings at intervals consistent to clinical needs in order to receive/provide information, provide consultation, and staff training on an ongoing basis.
- Provide assistance to Clinical Supervisors as needed.
- Assist with QMHP Training.
- Assist by completing privileging of new QMHPs in a timely manner.
- Immediately reports to the Program Director of Clinical Supervision any issues related to deficient performance, insufficient or inaccurate documentation or other events which might compromise the divisions' ability to provide billable services.
- Appropriate preparation and participation.
- Distribute necessary information to Program Director of ABH, Clinical Supervisors, and other Adult Behavioral Staff as deemed necessary.
- Provide training to address QMHP development.
- Provide/facilitate a minimum of 12 hours group training per month as volume necessitates.
- Provide a minimum of 38 hours individual training per month as allowed by training needs. When the volume is not met or will not be met the Program Director Adult BH will be notified in writing.
- All training efforts will be documented in appropriate format
- Complete and contribute to special projects as assigned by the Program Director of Clinical Supervision.
- Works with Risk Management, Quality Management, and Utilization Management in the identification of potential problem areas to be addressed with QMHP staff and or leadership.
- Time permitting the Clinical Specialist will in tandem with a new hire meet assigned clients on the case load to aid in transition, model and design appropriate schedule.
- Coordinate response to action items/follow-up activities as appropriate.
