Job Description:

Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India's first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of electrical systems for high-quality consumer electronic products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, reliability, and performance.
  • Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality and robustness.
  • Support manufacturing processes, prototype development, and the transition from design to mass production.
  • Partner with business teams to align technical solutions with customer requirements and program objectives.

Essential Attributes:

  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles with expertise in system design, testing, and problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across disciplines in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills to balance technical and business priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency with hardware systems design, reliability testing protocols, and advanced debugging equipment.
  • Strong lab skills, including experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.

Desired Experience Level

  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, hardware development, or product launches.
  • Track record of delivering products from concept to mass production across diverse portfolios
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and collaboration with global EMS or contract manufacturers.
