Regeneron's Preclinical Manufacturing and Process Development (PMPD) group is looking for an energetic Staff Engineer responsible for analytical development, supporting manufacturing process development functions. In this role you will work as part of a multi-functional team to develop Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) manufacturing processes, assays, and products. A Typical Day in the Role of Staff Engineer Might Look Like:This position requires a PhD with 3-5+ years proven experience in either Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Automation Engineering, or related field. Final position level would depend on years of experience. The ideal candidate would have: A strong fundamental understanding of assay development for bioprocess characterization and a detailed understanding of statistical analysis principles used in Design of Experiments to efficiently optimize and characterize assays. Direct experience with analytical assays for characterizing AAV vectors is required. Experience with operating and troubleshooting liquid handlers is preferred. Meaningful experience with some of the following techniques and software is helpful: qPCR/ddPCR, ELISA-based assays, Analytical ultracentrifuges, Western blots, Capillary electrophoresis, HPLC, UPLC, Next-generation sequencing, Mass photometry, Dynamic and static light scattering, Hamilton liquid handlers, VENUS, INSTINCT, Empower.
