Job Description: Staff Nurse, UHS Wilson Medical CenterUnited Health Services is seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Med Surg NT 4 department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible.Shift: All ShiftsHours Per Week: 24Salary Range: $39.57 - 59.38 USD per hour, depending on experience.Staff Nurse / OverviewThe Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance to all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.Education/ExperienceKey Responsibilities and ExpectationsMinimum Required:A graduate of an accredited school of NursingPreferred:Bachelor of Science degree in NursingPrevious clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory settingLicense/CertificationMinimum Required:Current NYS RN LicensePreferred:Professional certification in a related nursing specialtyRelevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.Work EnvironmentWork is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients.Rooms are air conditioned and heated.Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by Infection Control policiesAge of Patients ServedAll Age GroupsHIPAA Roles-Based Access to Patient InformationLevel 3: Clinical - Access to non-restricted patient informationDirect Experience, Management Experience, Nursing (RN)
