Job DescriptionJob Summary:Reports to the Director of the department. Responsible for assessing, formulating plan of care, implementing and evaluating nursing care for assigned patient population. Performs patient assessments in a systematic and organized manner to provide high quality and safe outcomes. Provides direction and collaborates with team members to support a healthy work environment. Analyzes collected data to formulate a plan of care that contributes to high quality and safe outcomes. Implements a plan of care with measurable criteria consistent with world class performance levels. Evaluates the plan of care with the patient and family/support system to maintain world class levels of patient satisfaction and outcomes. Contributes to a high performance work environment by seeking educational resources that enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills. Apply for nursing council or committee and be vested on one council at least every 5 years. 80% attendance in person or by phone is required. Advancements in Clinical Ladder will be reflected in yearly application process and is expected for job performance standards.Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:Must be able to complete the following department specific duties:
Communicates information to the Multidisciplinary Treatment Team. Versed in State of Indiana mental health legal proceedings (Confidentiality Laws, Voluntary Admissions, Immediate Detention, Emergency Detention, Temporary Commitment, Revocation of TC, Regular Commitment, Duty to Warn). Manages Initial and frequent follow-up contacts with LaSalle Behavioral Health's after hours Emergency Call System. Knowledgeable about continuum of care for medial/psychiatric case. Understands psychiatric disorders and clinical practice guidelines. Conducts Medication Education group. Does emergency interventions and administers restrain/seclusion according to latest standards. Maintains crises prevention Intervention certification. Recognizes withdrawal symptoms and adept at interventions.QualificationsJob Specifications:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Licensure/Certifications: Registered Nurse license from Indiana State license from Indiana State Board of Nursing.
