Tepa Companies is an equal-opportunity employer and encourages diversity in the workforce.LOCATION: Project site- Four Corners, AZ, and Oglala, SDABOUT THE JOBThe Tepa Companies are seeking a Quality Control Specialist who will assess and control risk including testing and compliance, assist with engineering activities, asses reports and trends to identify areas of opportunity and initiate improvement related to quality assurance findings.This role is intended for recent college graduates who majored in an applicable field. As Tepa continues to grow, we are focusing on hiring recent graduates to begin their careers at our organization with opportunities to receive hands-on learning, mentorship, and growth within the company. This is an entry-level position that does not require previous experience but does require completed education in the particular discipline.Job Functions:
- Assists with the development and implementation or audit protocols
- Audits third party vendors to ensure quality and compliance
- Creates weekly reports to locate errors
- Orders and maintains inventory and equipment
- Ensures that requests from management or customers are handled in a timely manner
- Performs specified or required or assigned tests to verify that control measures are adequate to provide a product which conforms to contract requirements
- Schedules, documents the results of, and maintains a log of all inspections that are required to conform to the project contract requirements. Clearly documents, corrects and re-inspects all non-conformances prior to covering up work
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Must have a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management
- 0-1 years of construction management experience in specific to federal government
- At least one completed internship in relevant field
- Knowledge of project plans, specifications, shop drawings, samples, and testing to assist in quality control management.
- Understanding of administrative and management principles involved in project planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources to assist in quality control management.
- Understanding with computer software used in the construction industry.
- Ability to utilize current programs, as well as the ability to create and administer new QC programs.
- Ability to manage time efficiently.
- Must possess ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.
- Current credentials showing the completion, or ability to complete, of the course Construction Quality Management for Contractors offered by USACE.
- OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety & Health training or ability to obtain
- First aid/CPR certification
- Must be willing to travel to additional project sites as needed
